IDF officer killed due to collapse during ceremony rehearsal
Lighting bridge collapses during Independence Day rehearsal killing one officer and injuring seven more soldiers, all evacuated to nearby hospitals
IDF officer, Lt. Hila Bezaleli (20), was killed earlier today as a result of a lighting bridge that collapsed during rehearsals for the Israeli Independence Day ceremony at Mount Hertzel. Her family was informed of the incident. Upon her death, Lt. Bezaleli was promoted to the rank of Lt. First Class.
Two additional soldiers were moderately injured and five more soldiers were slightly injured. The soldiers were evacuated to nearby hospitals in Jerusalem.
