ISA: Slight increase in terrorist attacks in July

According to Israel Security Agency report, 53 terrorist attacks took place in July


In July 2011, there were 53 terrorist attacks carried out against Israel - a slight increase from the 47 that occurred in June.
The data was published in a monthly report released by the Israel Security Agency on Tuesday (August 2).
Despite the small increase from June, the number of attacks in July was still relatively low compared to preceding months - 72 attacks in May, 101 attacks in April and 128 in March.
In July, there were 20 attacks from the Gaza Strip, compared to five in June and three in May.
20 rockets and two mortars were fired at Israel from Gaza in July, compared to four rockets and one mortar in June.
In the West Bank, there were 25 attacks, compared to 19 in June.

In Jerusalem, there was a drop in the number of attacks, from 22 in June to eight in July.
In July, there were no injuries resulting from terrorist attacks, compared to three injuries in June.
